WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service) is Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation, dedicated to the rescue and care of sick, injured, and orphaned native animals since 1985.

With a mission to rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife, WIRES also works to inspire and empower others to protect the natural world.
What They Do
Operating a 24/7 Wildlife Rescue Office, WIRES provides nationwide advice and assistance, alongside full-time mobile responders across Greater Sydney, South-East Queensland, and Tasmania.
In addition, WIRES supports hundreds of wildlife rescue and rehabilitation projects across Australia, working with strategic partners to protect habitats and ensure the long-term survival of native species.
