Ovarian Cancer Australia is the country’s leading national not-for-profit organisation for ovarian cancer awareness and support. Ovarian Cancer Australia’s mission is to: Support women with ovarian cancer, their families, friends and carers with compassionate support programs and practical resources. Educate communities and individuals about the disease and increase their awareness of early symptoms and the latest treatment, research and clinical trials. Advocate with the medical profession and government to improve outcomes, treatment and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer. Each year in February Ovarian Cancer Australia runs a national Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month of events, media campaigns and community activities to highlight the symptoms of ovarian cancer and to raise funds for our programs. We also hold a Teal Ribbon Day on the last Wednesday in February. Teal is the international colour of ovarian cancer.
